Marie E. Perkins, of Delavan, was born June 29, 1929, in Stockbridge, to Richard and Louise Volp. She passed away on June 21, 2020, at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan.
Marie loved working in the garden. Her days were kept busy working as a waitress and cook at Hanny’s restaurant in Lake Geneva and Elkhorn for over 25 years. She also worked as a waitress at West Wind Diner in Darien. In addition she drove school bus for Lake Geneva. Marie was a very caring and loving person. Her heart was full of love for all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Beverly (Jim) Long, Karen (Robert) Kimball, Cathy Peck, Sandy (John) Goglio, Richard (Barbara) Perkins, Elaine (Scott) Dix, Timothy (Collette) Perkins, and Jeffery (Sara) Perkins; 23 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; sister Barbara Hoppe; nephew Joe Volp; and many more nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Perkins; four sisters; five brothers; and one grandson, Adam.
Marie was buried at St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery. Toynton Funeral Home is assisting the family.
