Gloria A. Matelli 83, of Delavan, passed away at her residence on Sunday, March 15, 2020.
She was born on March 28, 1936 in Chicago to the late Antonio and Emma (Passiglia) Bertolone. She married the late Angelo Matelli in Chicago on June 21, 1958.
Gloria loved her family and her children as well as her friends. She enjoyed talking to people on the phone and loved Facebook where she stayed connected. She was always willing to listen. Fond memories of Gloria include ones where there were parties, lots of good food, games and laughter. She enjoyed playing on her keyboard, reading, crossword puzzles, cooking and domestic life. Some of her other interests were traveling, TV shows and napping. Gloria was accepting of all people but most of all she loved her family and was proud of them.
She was the loving mother of Mario (Nancy) Matelli, Anna (Dan) Brzezinski, Lisa (Bill) Kelly, Dino (Gina) Matelli and Tony (fiancée Lucy Stamper) Matelli; loving grandmother to Nicole (Chuck), Christopher (Bre), Emily, Christina, Joseph, Michael, Steven (fiancée Nicole), Asia, Vincezo, Sophia and Giulia; and she had four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and son Angelo.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Steinke-Lazarczyk Funeral Family Home, 515 Center St., Lake Geneva, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with service at 2 p.m. Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery.
