Larry W. Petersen, 77, of East Troy, was called home by his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family, on Jan. 1, 2020.
Larry owned and operated Electrotek in Oak Creek. He was an avid racer, which included motorcycles, drag cars, drag boats, and anything else that had an engine in it. He loved spending time also at the lake. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Patricia “Suzy”; sons, Steve Hughes and Craig Petersen; daughter, Suzan (Brad) Tanzer; grandchildren, Stephen W. Hughes and Shawn W. Hughes; great-grandchildren, Oscheanna and Skyler; sister, Linda Wainscott, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Fishburn.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1936 Emery St., East Troy. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in East Troy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 930 Main St., Mukwonago.
