Lorry H. Yanny, 68, of Lyons, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019 at Holton Manor in Elkhorn.
Born in Burlington on July 30, 1951, he was the son of Lawrence and Shirley (nee Wright) Yanny. He spent his entire life in the Lyons.
On Jan. 3, 1970, he was united in marriage to Lorrie Malsch. Following marriage, they continued to live in Lyons where he worked as a truck driver, doing various types of driving over the years. Lorry volunteered for the Lyons Fire Department for 37 years, was president of the Lyons Snowbums Snowmobile Club for four years, and was a member of the Lyons Drill Team. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, trail grooming and working on cars and fixing anything that was broke. He also loved watching the Green Bay Packers and cheering on Nascar’s No. 6 Mark Martin.
Lorry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lorrie; children, Dawn (Scott) Doane and Jason (Nadia) Yanny; grandchildren, Cody (Renee) Doane and Levi, Grace, and Matthew Yanny; two great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Ann (Ralph) Mahnke; step brother, Tom Middleton; step sister, Kathleen (Dave) Paepke; and brother-in-law, Steve (Rhonda) Malsch. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Randy and Mark Malsch; and sister-in-law, Kathy Middleton.

Services for Lorry will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at noon at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, Burlington. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Lorry will be laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lyons following the service.
