Lee A. Waswo, 64, of Sharon, and currently of Delavan, passed away on July 17, 2019, at St. Luke’s Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 23, 1954, in Chicago, to Donald and Gloria (Nalenzy) Waswo. He grew up in Rolling Meadows, Ill., and was part of the first graduating class of Rolling Meadows High School in 1972. He was united in marriage to Kathryn (Kloeckner) on June 2, 1984. Following marriage, they moved to Sharon, where he operated a dairy farm raising Jersey cows on Stateline Road. Lee was a self-taught farmer, and happiest at the farm, passing down the knowledge to his children.
He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Lee also managed Painting Unlimited, a contracted painting business out of Lake Geneva for many years. Lee had a simple life filled with love and laughter. His kind heart and witty sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Lee is survived by his children, Neil (Sabrina) Waswo, Brenda (Dave) Baxter, and Ariel Waswo; grandchildren, Aubri, Maddox, Bryan, Blake, Brady, and Chloe; several step-children; siblings, Jimmy (Janet) Waswo, Kathy (Steve) May; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife and parents.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke’s Hospital and Lakeland Nursing Home for their care of Lee over the last year.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at Pino’s Last Call, 545 Kenosha St., Walworth.
