Jon Kenneth Brewer – father, grandfather, brother, nephew and friend, passed away peacefully April 13, 2019. He was born Dec. 15, 1950, the fourth of 12 children to the late George (Jim) Brewer and LaVerne Haslam Brewer.
Jon graduated from East Troy High School in 1969. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and golf. He played softball for many years in East Troy. In his later years, golf became his passion. He regularly attended Brewer’s games and loved Jimmy Buffett concerts.
He is survived by his children, Sara (Tommie) Trewyn and Brian (Mindy Shaffer) Brewer. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Gabbie and Jake Trewyn.
He leaves behind his siblings, Dennis, Cindy (Joe) Dooley, Dick, Chuck (Lynn), Beth (Don) Archer, Jan Tom (Tammy), Kay, Scott, Julie (Paul) Hollenbeck and Keith (Kate). He will be missed by his Aunt Maxine (Howard) Strickler and Uncle Mike (Dorothy) Haslam.
He is further survived by Sara and Brian’s mother, Pat Binder, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, his extended family, Cindy Suarez, his many friends here and the friends he made wintering in the Bahamas.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Legacy Funeral Home, 2974 Main St., East Troy. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial be directed to either the East Troy Alumni Scholarship Fund, the East Troy Express Baseball Team or a charity of choice.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Officer Aaron Hackett with the Village of East Troy Police Department for his kindness and compassion shown to them and the East Troy Fire Department for their assistance. East Troy was home to Jon his entire life.

We will miss Jon this December in the Bahamas. Our hearts will forever miss him.
