Evelyn K. Goetsch, 67, of East Troy, found peace and went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 3, 2018, surrounded by her family.
She was born and attended school in Milwaukee. She relocated to the East Troy area, where she raised her children. She met and married Duane, her loving husband of 26 years, creating a blended family.
She had a grace and charm that blessed the people around her. She had a joyful spirit and served her Lord by reaching out to help others. She cherished all her children and grandchildren equally.
She was a secretary and did residential cleaning and became like a part of each of those families over the years.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Sherri; sons, Mark and Jason; stepchildren, Matthew (Lisa), Laura (Wil) Cesar, and Nathan (Carrie); grandchildren, Ravyn, Autumn, Ian, Jacob, Samantha, Luke (Sydney), Faith, Carly, Natalie, Laci, Paige and Zach; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a bounty of friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice; stepfather, Stephen Reginski; aunt, Ruby Schneider; sons-in-law, Rob Earll, and David Fuhr; special cousins, and special family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate God’s gift of Evelyn to us, her faith and life will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday Aug. 26, at Little Prairie United Methodist Church, N9515 Palmyra Road, Eagle. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service.
An old-fashioned potluck picnic (meat provided) will be held on the church grounds afterward. Everyone is welcome to remain for food and fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated as they will be dispersed to Evelyn’s favorite charities in the community.
