Robert A. Zimny, 89, died Feb. 21, 2018.
He worked for the Heil Co. in Milwaukee for 25 years. He then completed his college at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and taught sixth grade in the Mukwonago School District up until his retirement.
He enjoyed preparing his wild game meals for his students.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He made many annual fishing trips to Canada and Minnesota. He enjoyed gardening, playing his guitar, singing and was an avid reader. He loved to cook and his family often called him an “Amateur Chef.” He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Karen; children, Karen (Brad) Czebotar of McFarland, Mary (Jeff) Brott of Neshkoro, and Bob (Wendy) of East Troy; step-children, Jamie Beck and Michelle (Dale) Stormoen; grandchildren, Jeff (Rebekah) Valerie, Jessey (Jeremy), Taylor (Chelsea), Alex, Cole, Sam, Trey and Doris; great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Alessandra, Anna, Bailey, Chloe, Daisy, Amaya, Willow, Violet and Charlie; sister, Joanne Bailey; and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Hattie Zimny, and brothers, Gene and Dick Zimny.
A memorial service will be at noon on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 930 Main St., Mukwonago. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
