Fern E. Branfort, 101, of East Troy, died June 16, 2017, at East Troy Manor. She was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Troy, to the late Matthew and Minnie (Wobshal) Cummings.
She married Marshall Branfort in January of 1937 in Belvidere, Ill. She worked as an assembler for Oak Manufacturing of Elkhorn for more than 15 years.
She enjoyed gardening, canning and housekeeping. She loved shopping, especially at garage sales.
Survivors include here daughters-in-law, Sandra Branfort, East Troy, and Jerita Branfort, Union Center; sons-in-law, Michael Maciosek and Hugo Mike, both of East Troy; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall; daughters, Kathleen Maciosek and Linda Branfort; sons, John, Francis, David and George Branfort; sisters, Inez Sievers and Grace Annonson; and brothers, Wayne Cummings and Merl “Butch” Cummings.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 23, at Haase-Lockwood and Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn. The Rev. Gerald Petersen will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be at Quarterline-Evergreen Cemetery, Highway 20, East Troy.
