Peter Gordon Friedrichs, 54, of Whitewater, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, May 22, 2017. He was born April 16, 1963, in Atlanta, Ga., and was a longtime resident of Whitewater.
A 1981 graduate of East Troy High School, he earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1986 and his Doctor of Chiropractic at Cleveland Chiropractic College, Kansas City, Kan., in 1994.
Pete, along with his brother John, was the co-owner of Wisconsin Spinal Rehabilitation Center in East Troy and Brookfield. He was a dedicated practitioner of wellness and nutrition. “Pedro” enjoyed golf, basketball, running, his two cats Pecan and Olaf, driving his convertible, spending time outdoors, and beautifying his home and surroundings.
Family was Pete’s priority in life; he encouraged and supported his daughters in every aspect of their lives – spiritually, academically, and athletically. He has been affiliated with CrossPointe Community Church since 2001, a member of the East Troy Booster Club and East Troy Chamber of Commerce, and an avid supporter of college and high school athletics.
Survivors include his parents, Dorothy and Gordon Friedrichs, of Waukesha; his two daughters, Julian and Alaina, and their mother, Rebecca Gannaway Friedrichs, East Troy; brothers, James Friedrichs (Elaine), Weeki Wachee, Fla., and John Friedrichs, Waukesha; sisters, Elizabeth Vasquez (Louie), Waukesha, and Heidi Friedrichs, Milwaukee; and many loving nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hans and Gladys Friedrichs, and his maternal grandparents, Frederick and Anita Torrent.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 2, at CrossPointe Community Church, 445 N. Warner Road, Whitewater. The Rev. Kevin Tranel will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
