Jon Logan, 58, veteran and longtime resident of Fort Bragg, Calif., died unexpectedly March 23, 2017.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Naples; his parents; and his children Scarlet Pena and Joseph Logan. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Stephen and William Logan, and his son, Jacob Logan.
He was born in Plainfield on Dec. 15, 1958, to Jean and Al Logan. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for three years and joined the Army after college, where he served for nine years.
He enjoyed travelling and had a passion for flight. He often shared his love for the sky by visiting air shows across the country as well as flying people in his two-seat ultra-light aircraft. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 21731 Spring St, Union Grove. A luncheon reception will follow at Michael’s on the Lake at 3101 Eagle Road, Kansasville. In place of flowers, donations are requested to the donor’s charity of choice.
