Gerard “Jerry” Januszewski, 64, of East Troy, went home to the Lord surrounded by his loving wife and friends April 29, 2017, at East Troy Manor.
Jerry was born to John and Caroline on July 3, 1952 in St Francis. He graduated from West Allis Central High School.
On Dec. 13, 1980, Jerry married his bride Linda (Nee Zimmerman) in Oak Creek.
Jerry served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force and has been an active member of the local American Legion Post 188.
He and Linda eventually moved to East Troy and have been here for 25 years. Jerry loved photography, cars, his church and family activities. He was known for having a kind sense of humor and spreading some sunshine to the people he met. A large part of Jerry’s life was volunteering and community involvement with groups such as Meals on Wheels, East Troy Manor, East Troy Bible Church, Inspiration Ministries and many of his late son Adam’s school activities.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; brothers and sisters. Virginia, Michael (Robin), Lucia, Judith Spinato, Mary (Frank) Crimi, Jeanna (Dean) Barney, and Susan (Alan) Caravallo; sister in law, Patricia (Bo) Hajduk; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Adam; and sister, Teresa Adamec.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday May 4, at Legacy Funeral Services, 2974 Main St., East Troy.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are suggested, so that they may share them with the many community groups and charities that were important to Gerard.
