Ann E. Ledger, of Elkhorn, died Monday Jan. 16, 2017, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center.
She was born in Chicago, the daughter of the late Francis and Hattie (Pederson) Hollnberger. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She was united in marriage to Edmond J. Ledger for over 26 years.
In her younger years Ann was a professional dancer, and she taught dance at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Ann also taught language at Divine Word Seminary in East Troy for over 17 years.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her three children, Karen (Jake Jaquet) Ledger of Chicago, Timothy (Jean) Ledger of Elkhorn, and Paul “Skip” Ledger of Slinger; her four grandchildren, Andrew, Matt, Luke and Jake Ledger; her great-granddaughter, Charlotte Ledger; and her best friend, Mike Klocksin, of Elkhorn. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Edmond.
A memorial reception will be 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Monte Carlo Room 720 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn. Memorials may be made in Ann’s name to: Lakeland Animal Shelter P.O. Box 1000, Elkhorn, WI 53121.
