Bertha Inez (Risseeuw) Kruizenga, 78, of Delavan, died Dec. 27, 2016, at her home in Delavan.
She was born Sept. 4, 1938, in Sioux County, Iowa, to Leonard and Pauline Risseeuw. She was united in marriage to Glenn Kruizenga in Clinton Jan. 16, 1959, and spent their married life in Wisconsin. Glenn died in 1998. She was an active member of the Creek Road Community Church in Delavan. She loved TV, movies, puzzles, and music. She especially enjoyed coffee and conversation with friends and family.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Connors, of Milwaukee, Karla (Katy) Kruizenga, of Fort Atkinson, and Lora (Rey) Hernandez, of Huntley, Ill.; two sons, Bernie (Bonnie) Kruizenga, of Walworth, and Laine (Robin) Kruizenga, of Evansville, Ill.; 16 grandchildren, Cameron (Caitlyn) Connors, Preston (Signe) Connors, Brandon (Gretchen Arndt) Kruizenga, Brent Kruizenga, Cody Kruizenga, Kirsten Leitzke, Travis Leitzke, Alex (Emily) Leitzke, Rey Hernandez, Devyn Hernandez, Kayla Kruizenga, and Kloe Kruizenga; three great grandchildren, Nora Leitzke, Valerie Leitzke, and Cian Connors; and a sister, Clarretta DeGroot, of Doon, Iowa.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn; her son, Kelvin; her brother, Leonard Jr.; and her sister, Ethel.
Services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday at Creek Road Community Church, W7778 Creek Road in Delavan with the Rev. John Mancusi officiating.
Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan is assisting the family.
