Anne J. Larson, 93, formerly of Elkhorn, died Dec. 20, 2016, at Personally Yours Care Center Waterford.
She was born June 3, 1923, in Chicago, the daughter of the late Karl and Anna (Sharschmidt) Braun. She was united in marriage to Floyd W. Larson on June 3, 1944, in Winter. Floyd (Rocky) died Nov. 26, 1984.
She was a devoted homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother who made sure her family had freshly baked bread awaiting them after school on many Friday afternoons. In her later years, she volunteered at the Lakeland Animal Shelter and Elkhorn Food Pantry. She was also an avid sports fan, card player and traveler as long as her health permitted.
She is survived by her four children: Nancy (Bill) Cline of Delaware, Ohio; Bonnie Larson of Oregon; David (Linda) Larson of Elkhorn; and Randy (Sue) Larson of Wind Lake; six grandchildren: Mike Cline, Katie (Jeff) Grycza, Justin Suhr, Kyle, Rachel and RJ Larson; and three great-grandchildren: Molly Kate, Kelly and Samantha Cline.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Floyd; and five siblings: Victor Braun, Helen Bertram, Alice Grupp, Ted Braun and Ruth Kotcher.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, at Haase-Lockwood and Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn, with the Rev. Bill McBride officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Hazel Ridge Cemetery.
