David E. Perkins, 87, of Delavan, died Dec. 7, 2016, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn.
He was born in Lansing, Mich., June 30, 1929, to George and Mary (Hineline) Perkins. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy Seabees. He married Dolores Patronski on June 29, 1957, in Chicago. She died Sept. 14, 2005.
He retired from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Delavan since 1964 and also belonged to the Knights of Columbus.
Dave is survived by five children, Darlene (Tim) Sturtevant, Denise (Bill) Petkoff, Dawn (Harvey) Gonzalez, David J. Perkins, and Debbie (Dave) Malisow; grandchildren Ashley (Jeremy) Renz and Eric (Toni) Sturtevant, Jon and Julie Petkoff, Danny (Ellyse Polk) Gonzalez, Michael (Morgan) Gonzalez, David R. (Mykayla Lock) Perkins, Michael Perkins, Zach Malisow and Jessie (Jason) Lodle; great grandchildren Henry Renz, baby Sturtevant due in 2017, Peyton and Brooklyn Hill, and Dylan, Xavier and Zayden Lodle; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Dolores; a brother, Fred Rogers; and four sisters, Catherine Donahue, Louise Murray, Margaret Dame and Liz Fuller.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave., Delavan. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church. A private family interment will take place at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed in memory of David E.
