Ruth Ann Polinski, 68, East Troy, formerly of Lake County, Ill., died Aug. 20, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital in West Allis. She was born March 15, 1948, in Ausburg, Germany, to the late Charles and Sara Pranckunas. On October 6, 1964,
She married Edward “Mike” Polinski on Oct. 6, 1964. He preceded her in death Oct. 20, 2006. They lived in Arizona, Fox Lake, Ill., and Round Lake Park, Ill., before settling in East Troy in 1992.
She enjoyed gardening, was an avid bingo player, but most important to her was time spent with her family.
Survivors include her children, Joe, East Troy, Chuck and Donna, both of Trevor, and James, Round Lake Beach; grandchildren, Amanda, Cassandra, Brittany, Chucky, Emma, Dylan, Christopher, Mike, Eric, Leo, and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Nora, Merrick and Lucy; siblings, Helen Jahnke, Virginia Hileman, Loretta (Gary) Polinski, Theresa (Joe) Quarzenski; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St.
Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, Ill. Inurnment will follow in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, Ill.
