Donald C. Hensel, 89 of East Troy, died July 29, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 11, 1926, in Burlington, to the late Edna (Wieners) and Floyd Hensel.
This is where he went to school and met his lifelong bride Evelyn. They were married on July 10, 1942, in East Troy.
He loved auctioning, camping, and most anything outdoors.
Survivors include his son, Terry; daughter, Trudy Elfering, grandchildren, Bobbie (Steph) Abel, Billie (Nathan) Rich, Dereck (Zenaida) Hensel, Kim (Steve) Schultz and Tiffany (Kelly) Wilks; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence; sister, Rose Bornschlegel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was further preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, and a sister, Florence Bolton.
A celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 6, 2016 at Legacy Funeral Services, 2974 Main St., East Troy. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
