Lester L. Horlacher, 90, of East Troy, died July 23, 2016, at Linden Grove Care Center, Mukwonago. He was born Feb. 17, 1926 in Rosalia, Wash., to the late Walter and Ida Horlacher.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He married Arlene Echo Kegley on Nov. 7, 1953, at St. James United Methodist Church, East Troy. She died Dec. 23, 1988.
He farmed in the East Troy area for more than 50 years. He also worked for the Town of East Troy for more than 20 years.
He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, he loved farming and his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his children.
Survivors include his children, Keith (Patricia), Elkhorn, Candy Horlacher-Ganhs, Waterford, Melody (Michael) Gibson, East Troy, Harmoni (Glen) Shadoa, East Troy, Dana (Tina), Burlington, and Colin, East Troy; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret (William) Heise, Farmington, Wash., and by a host of other relatives and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred and Evelyn; and brothers, Homer, Paul and Stan.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday Aug. 1, at Haase-Lockwood and Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, East Troy. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
