Mark DeStefano was born Feb. 13, 1954, in Chicago to Carl T. and Mary Corinne DeStefano (nee Wagner). He passed away July 14, 2016, at his home in Williams Bay.
He is survived by his mother, Corinne “Corky” DeStefano; sisters, Caryn Snell, Mary (Mike) Flahive and Madelyn DeStefano; brother, Paul (Florence) DeStefano; nieces and nephews, Gina (Evan) Rolfsmeier, Michelle (Shaphan) Ray, David (Taylor) DeStefano, and Michael DeStefano; and many great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl T. DeStefano; a brother, Joseph; and brother-in-law, Matt Snell.
He was born on the west side of Chicago and for many years worked for Chicago public schools as a licensed stationary engineer. For most of his life, his heart was in Williams Bay and he eventually became a full-time resident. He cherished the many friends who enriched his life and was a proud member of the Williams Bay Lion’s Club. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Toynton’s Walworth Funeral Home, 328 Kenosha St., Walworth. A memorial Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 137 Dewey Ave., Fontana. Burial will be private.
