Robert J. Lile, 73, of Market Street, Elkhorn, died June 7, 2016, at Lifecare Hospital of Wisconsin in Pewaukee.
He was born Jan. 10, 1943, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Robert W. and Helen Lucille (Kronberger) Lile. He was a graduate of Burlington High School. During his working career he worked at several different grocery stores as a produce manager. He was an avid baseball fan, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He played baseball as pitcher for the Burlington Merchants Baseball League and is in their Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his three children, Robert R. Lile of Janesville, Jodi (William) Bechtel of Clarksville, Tenn., and Tiffanie Lile of Elkhorn; two granddaughters, Amanda Lyn Barker and Katelyn Alexandra Bechtel; two brothers, Bruce (Sharon) Lile of Burlington, and Richard (Jean) Lile of Elkhorn; and by other relatives and friends. Robert is further preceded in death by his wife of 15 years, Stephanie; and two brothers, Donald and Jack Lile.
