Richard “Dick” D. Korpela, 78, of Kenosha, formerly of Delavan, passed away peacefully May 14, 2016, at Hospitality Nursing and Rehab.
He was born Nov. 25, 1937, to the late Sulo and Laila (Ollie) Korpela in Hurley. He was educated in the schools of Hurley. He attended a vocational school in Wausau to be a draftsman.
Dick worked at G&H in Kenosha for many years and relocated to Delavan after that shop closed.
He enjoyed riding his scooter to McDonalds, Shopko and Piggly Wiggly to socialize.
Dick is survived by his brother, James (Darlene) Korpela, of Kenosha, and a niece, Chris (Ken) Bisgrave.
He is preceded in death by his nephew, Greg Korpela.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Betzer Funeral Home, 118 S. Second St., Delavan.
