Cornelia (Connie) Clement, 91, passed away May 14, 2016, at Kindred Hearts of Elkhorn.
She was born Feb. 7, 1925 in Wassenaar, The Netherlands, Europe to Hein and Anna Bayer. She married Harry Clement on Jan. 17, 1951. They immigrated to the United States on Dec. 10, 1953. Harry and Connie lived in many cities in Wisconsin, ending in Delavan,
Connie had a warm beautiful smile and was an amazing homemaker, cook and hostess. She loved to cross stitch, crochet towels and make jelly. She always remembered people with cards or a notes of encouragement. She loved making special Dutch pancakes for her grandkids. Family was everything to her.
Connie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harry, of Elkhorn; a son, Henry, of Beloit; four daughters, Tina (John) Litjens, of St. Cloud, Fla., Anna (Mark) Wheeler of New Berlin, Jo (Pete) Malm, of Greenfield, Ind., and Karen (Mark) Shaw, of Elkhorn; a daughter-in-law, Carol Clement, of Platteville; 15 grandchildren, Paul Litjens, Eric Litjens, Jackie (Matt) Hensgen, Catie (Dusten) Slater, Nathan (Pearl) Clement, MatthewWheeler, P.J. (Julia) Malm, Cora (Jon) Wolfarth, Maria Malm, Lori Shaw, Jana Shaw, Ryan Shaw, Annaka Clement, Emily Clement and Eleanor Clement; five great grandchildren, Theo and Oliver Hensgen, Sophie Slater, Jackson and Stella Malm; two great grandchildren on the way; a brother, Hein Bayer; and four sisters, Reit Schouten, Joke Gelauff, Josephine Noordover and Anneke Dirks.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jacob (Jack) Clement; a daughter-in-law Sue Clement; three brothers; and four sisters. Funeral service was Tuesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church with the Rev. Angel Anaya officiating. Burial was in St. Andrew Cemetery.
