Irene Kutschenreuter, 99, of East Troy found peace April 4, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Tornow; mother, Amanda Lempke; husband, Herman Kutschenreuter; and sisters, Anna, Gladys and Edna.
Irene was the wonderful loving mother of Nancy (Euro) Alberti, Herman Kutschenreuter, and James (Beth) Kutschenreuter. She took deep pride in her nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by relatives, friends, members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, East Troy, and her neighbors at Heritage.
Irene loved games with family and friends especially bridge, euchre, and sheepshead. She loved to cook, read and travel. Her earlier days were spent with a group of friends in Wauwatosa Wisconsin called “The Wells Park Gang.” Her retirement years were spent in Pompano Beach Florida where family gathered to fish and feast. Her final years were spent in East Troy where her grandchildren and great grandchildren were active in sailing, skiing, football and robotics.
At 98 years of age, Irene could still be heard cheering from the bleachers of the high school for the East Troy Trojan football team. She never missed a home game!
Special thanks to all her wonderful caregivers and AseraCare Hospice helpers.
