Evelyn Rose Calvery, 85, died April 4, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville.
She was born and raised in Beloit by her parents Elmer and Mildred Synstegard. After high school she meet her late husband James (2011) of 43 years and made East Troy their forever home.
She had a simple life which involved much traveling with her husband, as well as reading, crossword puzzles and Rosmaling, a type of Norwegian painting. She also volunteered her time at Meals on Wheels and other various groups.
Survivors include her cousin, Doris (Al) Stowers and family; nephew, Steve (Patsy) Stoffel; sisters, Kay and Betty; sister-in-law, Deann (Dick) Riggs; dear friend and roommate, Fern Neilson; and many other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to all of the staff at St. Elizabeth Manor in Footville for their loving care and support.
A memorial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, at Legacy Funeral Services, 2974 Main St., East Troy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
