Lillian A. Magnus (Selig), 92, of Delavan, died Feb. 17, 2016, at Our House Senior Living in Janesville.
She was born Jan. 23, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Harry C. and Lillian (Felton) Selig and step- daughter to the late Mable Selig. She married Robert E. Magnus on May 17, 1947, in Elmwood Park, Ill.
For 40 years, Magnus was an active member of Westwood Lutheran Church and other civic organizations in Elmwood Park, Ill., and volunteered at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital.
She and her husband retired to Delavan in 1989 where she was a member of the Delavan United Methodist Church and the Walworth County Historical Society and volunteered at Old World Wisconsin. She enjoyed cruising with the travel group from the Latimer House and house sitting at the Allyn Mansion.
Survivors include a daughter, Judi Magnus (Robert Kempe), of Janesville; a son, Keith (Kathy) Magnus, of Belvidere, Ill.; grandchildren Robert (Sarah) Boyle, of Largo, Fla., Luke (Jennifer) Boyle, of Janesville, Ryan Magnus of Fort Collins, Colo., and Natalie Magnus of Moscow, Idaho; and great-grandchildren Cadence, Colin and Owen Boyle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, sisters Eleanor and Joanne and brothers Harry and Ken
A memorial gathering will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Delavan United Church. A service will be at 11 a.m. at the church followed by a funeral luncheon.
