Vicky L. Tislau, of Sharon, passed away Feb. 15, 2016, at her home in Sharon.
She was born on Sept. 13, 1949, in Elkhorn, to Donald Woodman and Elizabeth (Wenzel) Harvey.
Vicky was a true warrior her entire life. She sprinkled kindness over everyone she encountered. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, jigsaw puzzles and watching her birds. Most of all, she obsessed about mowing her lawn. She was a terrific mom, wonderful friend and devoted grandma.
Love you, Mom. Give hugs to grandma and all our furry friends. You are at peace now.
Vicky is survived by her children, Kim (Denton) Jones, Kay (George) Petkoff, Luke (Jen) Tislau, and Nick (Megan) Tislau; grandchildren, Cody, Chase and Calder Jones, Winston and Preston Petkoff, Trenton, Tanner, Teagen, Tayten, and Torren Tislau; and grandma’s labradoodle boy, Brooks (her fur-grandkid); sister, Virginia Harvey; brothers, Donald (Patricia) Harvey Jr., Jerry (Lois) Harvey and Roger Harvey Sr.; her special friends at The Abbey and Geneva Ridge; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will greet friends and share memories and stories from 2 p.m. Friday until the time of service at 6 p.m. Triune Lutheran Church, N1584 Highway K, Sharon. Toynton Funeral Home is assisting the family.
