Claudette Lee (nee Moyer), 63, died Feb. 7, 2016.
She was born to the late Burdette and Nettie (nee Kyle) Moyer and married the late Jonathan W. Lee on June 27, 1970.
Her family includes a brother, the late Richard (Marilyn) Moyer, of Harvard, Ill., and sisters Cheryl, of Harvard, Ill., Nanette (Mark), of Chandler, Ariz., and Bridgette, of Tracy, Calif.
She is survived by nieces and nephews Tim (Dixie), of Hot Springs, Ariz., Daniel (Nicole), of Kenosha, Herra, Robert, Steve, Stacy, Michelle and April; sister-in-law, Laurette; and Jon’s nieces, Juli and Jennifer, of Harvard, Ill.; cousins Judy McCarthy (Pat), Margie (Larry) and Steve, of Harvard, Ill. and Rhonda, of Chemung, Ill., and Kyle (Palmer) (Bill) Hobson, of McHenry, Ill.
She is further survived by Jon’s family in Vermont, additional relatives and extended family; her adopted daughter, Kathryn Marie; and son-in-law Michael T. Paczkowski. She was preceded in death by niece, Sierra; and her best friend, Judy Baltazar; whom she knew since kindergarten.
She was an instructional aide for Sharon Community Schools. She showed a commitment to education and her community.
She and Jon farmed in Vermont. She was a top selling Avon representative throughout the Vermont. Then they returned to Wisconsin. She also worked as a licensed cosmetologist in Vermont, Harvard, Ill., and Sharon.
She loved traveling, knitting, crocheting and gatherings with friends and family. She will be greatly missed by students and communities of Sharon and Harvard, Ill., and her friends and family.
A celebration of her life will be held with a fundraiser at Sharon Community School gym on Thursday. Services will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Harvard Moose Lodge in Harvard, Ill.
