Joan Ruth Militello, 82, of Westshire Farms, Delavan Lake, died at Holton Manor Nursing Home on Feb. 1, 2016.
She was born May 4, 1933 in Maywood, Ill., to Walter F. Schweiger and Minnie Behrens. She married Philip Militello, who died in 1987. She was a medical transcriber at Hines Veterans Hospital in the pathology Department. She is survived by one son, Robert (Martha), of Williams Bay; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Eric; five great-grandchildren, Desiree, Sebastian, Armon, Isabella and Camilla; and her former daughter-in-law, Barbara.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip, and a brother, Walter. A family gathering will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Westshire Farms community room. A light lunch will be served.
