Beverly Ann (nee McIntyre) Pinch, 93, of Elkhorn, died unexpectedly Dec. 25, 2015, at Ridgestone Terrace in Elkhorn. She was born on Sept. 22, 1922, in Red Wing, Minn., the daughter of the late Elmer and Helen (Mueller) McIntyre.

Beverly was raised in La Crosse and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse in 1944. She taught high school in Arcadia, from 1944 to 1948.

On June 23, 1946, Beverly was married to Merrill Pinch in La Crosse. They moved to East Troy in September 1951 and she became an Elkhorn resident in April 1993.

Beverly taught in the East Troy school system from 1960 to 1985 as librarian, an AV coordinator and advisor for various extra-curricular activities.

She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, East Troy, where she taught Sunday school, was a financial secretary for 14 years, longtime member of the memorials committee, the scholarship committees, United Methodist Women and an officer in the Red Bird Circle.

Beverly was also a member of the East Troy Women’s Club, Walworth County Retired Educators, WEA, NEA, La Crosse University Alumni Association, served several years on the East Troy Alumni Scholarship fund and volunteered at Lakeland Hospital.

Her life motto was “It is better to give than to receive.”

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Marvin) Mosley of Virginia; grandchildren, Rodney (Solveig) Mosley of Virginia, Gerren (Andrew) West of Elkhorn, Sarah (Gary) McCormick of London, England, Jennifer (Todd) Bassett of Utah, and Dane Mosley of Virginia; 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill, and brother, James McIntyre.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn.

Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in East Troy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Scholarship Fund or East Troy High School Alumni Scholarship Fund.
