Steven J. Kasprzak, 51, of Darien, found peace Dec. 14, 2015.
He was born in West Allis on March 29, 1964. Steve has a degree in classical bass from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and performed with the Dubuque, Iowa, La Crosse and Madison symphonies. He also performed with the Red Hot Dixie Band and the Kristy Larson Honky Tonk Trio Band. Under the name of Steven James, he provided professional musical entertainment for nursing homes and child care centers. He was also employed by Creative Tent Solutions in Delavan.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters, Leah, Marie and Julia; stepchildren, Amanda Keizer, Joshua Keizer and Kyle Keizer; step grandchild, Layne Keizer; mother, Patricia Aleksandrowicz Sellon (George); father, Gerald Kasprzak (Rosemary Murphy); brothers, Paul (Renee), David, Edward (Kimi), and Donald (Rebekah); sister, Lori Gatzke (Scott); and mother-in-law, Joanne Jones.
He is further survived by Lisabeth Kasprzak, Jane Sybers and numerous Sellon and Kasprzak relatives.
He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert LeRoy Carmin; and a niece, Eloise “Ella” Kasprzak.
Funeral Services were Monday at Bethel Baptist Church, 3300 Mt. Zion Ave., Janesville. Visitation was Sunday at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Janesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family. Monroe Funeral Home is assisting the family.
