Lawrence Schraeder, 101, died Nov. 26, 2015.
He was a farmer most of his life, spending the past 61 years in East Troy.
He will be remembered for his perseverance, faith, positive attitude, and good sense of humor. He truly was an inspiration to all who knew him, and will be greatly missed by family, friends, and neighbors.
Survivors include his children, Dorothy (David) Meisenheimer, Joseph, Thomas (Trici), Kathleen (Patrick) Barry, and John (Donna); nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Rita Von Rueden, and his son, Paul.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 1975 Beulah Ave., East Troy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Memorials to the family will be distributed to the Hodan Community Services, Mineral Point, and other charities dear to Lawrence.
