Elaine D. (Cardoni) Danielson, 94, of Delavan, passed away Oct. 21, 2015, at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn.
She was born in Two Rivers, April 4, 1921, to Victor and Rose (Yelmene) Cardoni. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Danielson, April 7, 1942, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Delavan. They were married for 64 years at the time of his death in 2006. In addition to her career of raising a loving family of six children, she was also a member of the Darien American Legion Auxiliary and St. Andrew Catholic Church. She also loved to crochet, read, play cards and was a member of several card clubs in Darien with her husband and friends.
Elaine is survived by her six children, David (Karen) Danielson, of Townsend, Del., Judy (Ed) Joseph, of Sun Prairie, Patsy (Brad) Brown, of Delavan, Richard (Janet) Danielson, of Monona, Jeana (Steve) Seibert, of Tallahassee, Fla., and Tom Danielson, of Chandler, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents; two sisters; four brothers; one grandchild; and one great grandchild.
Private family funeral services will take place at a later date. Burial will take place at Darien Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Delavan-Darien School District Foundation Scholarships or the International Rescue Committee.
