Marie Lucille Leuver (nee Dzwonkiewicz), 102, died Sept. 6, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Jan. 23, 1913, in Poland and as an infant moved to America.
Her formative years were spent in Chicago attending St. Hedwig’s School.
She married her late husband Anthony on May 29, 1937, at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church.
She Retired to Brooksville, Fla., for 27 years and then moved to East Troy in 2003.
She had a love for crocheting, bowling and golf, participating in the Lake Beulah Women’s Golf Group.
Survivors include her daughter Antoinette “Toni ” (Richard) Majka, East Troy; grandchildren, Michelle (Tobin) Wehrle, Elmhurst, Ill., Theresa (Richard) Verback, Cary, Ill., and Richard (Darcy) Majka, Oak Park, Ill.; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Culloton and Anne Blazek; and other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the staff at Brolen Park Assisted Living for their tender love and care of Marie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Monday Sept. 14, at St Peter’s Catholic Church, 1981 Beulah Ave., East Troy. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
Private entombment will be at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, Ill.
Legacy Funeral Services, East Troy, is assisting the family.
