JASON OTTOW

Jason Gregory Lon Ottow, (aka “Jay Wop”), 33, of East Troy, died unexpectedly on Aug. 15, 2015. He was born Aug. 28, 1981, in Milwaukee, and was a lifelong area resident of East Troy.

He worked at Magill Construction Co. Inc. in Elkhorn.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved snowmobiling, four wheeling, tinkering in his shop, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was a member of the Triangle Sportsman Club and the Laborer’s Local 113.

According to his family, he had a kind heart and was someone you could always count on. He had a fearless passion to live life to the fullest.

Survivors include his father Douglas; mother Jacquie Turner; sisters, Jessica (Erik) Ottow and Stacy McCauley; grandparents, Jack (Purita) Bolton and Jim and Phyllis Kneiert; nieces, Brittani Ottow, Jenna Gellings, Kristin Wroblewski; nephews, Hunter and Gavin Gellings; aunts and uncles Darrell (Chris) Ottow and Debbie (Steve) Harrison and Lisa (Scott) Dragotta; many cousins and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Chris Ottow, stepfather Brian Turner and grandparents, Darrell and Lucille Ottow.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Services, 930 Main St., Mukwonago. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday Aug. 20, 2015, at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Friday.

A procession to Oak Ridge Cemetery in East Troy will follow the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
