Nellie Elizabeth Schwartz, 97, was born to eternal life on July 28, 2015.
Beloved sister of the late Charles (the late Marion), Ronald (the late Mary), the late Dorothy, Catherine and Victor (the late Joyce). Dear aunt of Mary Jo (Steven) Madsen, Catherine (Robert) Van Stedum, Jeannie (Jim) Brehmer, Lori (Dave) Sievers and Beth (Eric) Penfold. Loving great-aunt of David, Erik, Emma, Holly, Kylie, Adam, Erin, Lauren, Sophie and Clare.
She is also survived by many long–time friends, and recent friends at Clement Manor, where she lived along with her sisters for the past 12 years.
Nellie was born on Feb. 6, 1918 in Troy Center, to Victor, Sr. and Nellie (nee Puetz) Schwartz. She graduated from East Troy High School in 1936 and later became a member of the East Troy Alumni Association.
She attended Miss Brown’s Business College in Milwaukee and then worked as a clerk for the Milwaukee Health Department and St. Luke’s Hospital.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Christian Women’s Society and Milwaukee Employee’s Retirement System.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Clement Manor Chapel, 3939 S. 92nd St., Greenfield. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Private interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, East Troy.
The family would like to extend their most gracious thanks to the staff of Clement Manor for the wonderful and loving care given to Nellie.
