Diane Flood, 64, of Whitewater, died unexpectedly June 29, 2015.
She was born in Burlington on May 13, 1951, the daughter of John and Elaine Hall. She grew up in Burlington, graduated from Burlington High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. On Feb. 2, 2000, she married Thomas Flood, on the Caribbean Island of St. Martin.
Diane was a longtime employee of First Citizens State Bank. She was active in many community projects and held a special appreciation for the Whitewater Arts Alliance. She volunteered as their treasurer and most recently was creating a piece for their upcoming lamppost extravaganza. She loved to travel, play golf, was an avid reader and a talented jewelry designer.
Diane is survived by her husband, Tom; her brother, Michael (Kathie) Hall, of Marietta, Ga.; her sister, Ellen (Michael) Miller, of Burlington; her much loved nieces, and nephews, Jennifer Miller, Aaron (Kali) Miller, Courtnie Holloman, Greg Day, Christopher Flood, Patrick Flood, Erin (Kyle) Quada, and Bridget Haggerty. Diane, is further survived by a sister and brothers-in-law, Barbara Golemgeske, Mary (Ralph) Haggerty, Tim (Nancy) Flood; and her mother-in-law, Harriet Flood.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Our Diane, affectionately known as, “Lah,” was a loving wife, sister, daughter, favorite aunt, and loyal friend. She will be greatly missed.
A prayer service will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb St., Whitewater, with the Rev. Mark Niehaus officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Nitardy Funeral Home until the time of the services.
