Gerald Richard Brown, 76, of Delavan, died June 10, 2015, at his home.
He was born in Hancock Nov. 19, 1938, to Harold and Frieda Lillian (Klauch) Brown. He married Nancy Stockholm in Las Vegas on May 11, 1981. He was a self-employed auto body mechanic for more than 50 years and was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Janesville. His hobbies were restoring vintage cars and watching the Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Brown, of Delavan; two sons, Terry (Debbie) Brown and Larry (Laura) Brown; two stepsons, Rick Bergholtz and Carl Johansson; grandchildren Eric Brown, Mathew Brown, Daniel (Julie) Paxson, Vanessa Cera, Mike (Alison) Brown, Kristy (Robert Schreck) Brown and Nick Brown; step-grandchildren, Jessica (Ross) Slocum, Brad Bergholtz and Nadine, Rachel and Chanelle; great-grandchildren Aidan, Brianna and Tyler; siblings Elaine Sanders, Richard (Melba) Brown, Pat (Jim) Johansen, Mike (Kris) Brown, Steve (Penny) Brown, Randy (Mary) Brown, Tony (Janet) Brown, Jeff (Karen) Brown, Dennis Brown, Lori (Mark) Mullen, and Mark Brown; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Brown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charlie Brown.
Funeral services will take place Monday at 11 a.m. at the New Life Assembly of God Church, 2416 North Wright Road, in Janesville, with the Rev. Michael Jackson officiating. Burial will follow the luncheon in the East Richmond Cemetery in the Town of Richmond. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb St., Whitewater, and after 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the New Life Assembly of God Church in Janesville.
