Annette Delores Schoenfeld, 96, formerly of Janesville and currently of Ridge Stone Village of Delavan, died at Mercy Walworth Medical Center on June 13, 2015.
Shee was born March 1, 1919, in Lacrosse to Meyer Levy and Ida Goodman. She married Woodrow Schoenfeld on Aug. 3, 1940, in Chicago. He preceded her in death in 1997.
She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 1939. She was a member of the Congregation B’nai Abraham of Beloit and the Jewish women’s group Hadassah. She was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital and a member of Research for Recovery for breast cancer survivors.
She is survived by a son, Stephen Schoenfeld of Bellingham, Wash.; a daughter, Betty Wassel (Dean Sharp) of Racine; her former son-in-law, Steve Wassel, of Delavan; grandchildren Heather, Kobbe, Sigrid Harem, Matthew Schoenfeld and Sarah Schoenfeld; four great grandchildren Emma Gene, Michael, Brady and Owen. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at East Lawn Cemetery in Beloit with Rabbi Shlomo Wing officiating. Friends may call at the Betzer Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
