Rosemary Genevieve Williams, 95, of Delavan, died April 21, 2015, at Ridgestone Village in Delavan surrounded by her family.
She was born March 3, 1920, in Burlington, to William and Rose (Schumann) Prasch.
She married Alvin W. Williams in 1945. He predeceased her July 28, 1973. She was also predeceased by her parents; sisters, Lee Miller and Marcella Kempken; her son, John (Jack) Williams; and a daughter Mary Lou Thompson.
Gen was an accountant at Sta-Rite Industries for over 25 years, retiring in 1989. She will always be remembered as a kind, loving, caring lady who enjoyed her family every day. Family members gave her the nickname “Guliver” because she loved to travel, which she did with her children, grandchildren, sisters, and friends through the years.
Survivors include her children, daughter, Dorothy Mitchell, of Elkhorn; son, Chuck (Sandy Carlton) of, Delavan; daughter, Sue (Gary) Williams-Ginner, of Darien; daughter, Jean (Ken) Miller, of El Cajon, Calif.; grandchildren, Maria (Paul) Drolet, Shawn Mitchell, Alys (Andy) Adams, Paige (Steve) Sawar, Patty Salmon, Clint Ginner, Cyle (Kelly) Ginner, Stephanie Miller, Brian Miller; great-grandchildren, Megan Adams, Cole Adams, Bryn Rohde, Kyler Rohde, Ryley Sawar, Dayne Sawar, Kennedy Ginner, Payton Ginner, Kali Ginner, Gertrude Ginner; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan with Rev. Angel Anaya officiating.
Interment will follow in East Delavan Union Cemetery. Monroe Funeral Home is assisting the family.
