Donald A. Agen, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2015, at the age of 74, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
Beloved husband of the late Janet (nee Olson) Agen. They were married on March 24, 1962.
Beloved father of Michael (Nancy) Agen, of Lake Mills, and Diane (Terry) Hill, of Palmyra; loving grandfather to Brennan (Ashley) and Curtis Agen, Monica, Kimberly and Jackie Heine and step-grandchildren, Justin and Trevor Hill, Nick (Becky) and Shannon Franks; heart loving and proud great-grandfather of Haley Selsing; and step great-grandchildren, Christian and Levi Franks.
Survived by his sister, Beverly Nelson, of Eagle; and brother, David “Dub” (Carol) Agen, of Palmyra; and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Owen, of Whitewater. Don is further survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Hazel (nee Bishop) Agen; and his sisters, Janet Houk and Ruth Ann Vetense.
Donald was a retiree of the Godfrey Company in Waukesha and served his country in the United States Army.
Don lived in Palmyra, where he spent his whole life. He was a former village president and active supporter of village activities. His passion was flying. He was the manager of the Palmyra Airport for 50 years and taught over 90 students to become pilots.
Visitation will be on Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Haase Lockwood and Associates Funeral Home, 320 W. Main St. Palmyra, and on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery in Palmyra.
The family would like to give thanks to the staff of Summit Hospital and AngelsGrace Hospice for their wonderful care. A special thanks also to Dan Warras for being by Don’s side at his time of pain and suffering.
