Roma Joan Krejci, 81, of Columbia, S.C., passed away March 24, 2015.
She courageously battled cancer before succumbing to pneumonia. Born in Nashville, GA., October 24, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Maston and Rita Wilkerson Parrish.
Roma met the love of her life, Colonel Ed Krejci, at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Ga. After a whirlwind romance of almost three months, they got married. Two years later, their daughter Liz was born. They were stationed throughout the United States, Hawaii and England, which allowed them to do some traveling in Europe. Upon retiring from the Air Force, they settled in San Antonio, Texas. After getting “itchy feet” again, they took off in their RV across the United States to visit every state except Hawaii, only because their RV wouldn’t float! They were impressed with the beauty of our country. In 2005, they curtailed their full time RV traveling and settled in Livingston, Texas. In January of 2014, they relocated to Columbia, SC to be closer to their daughter.
Roma leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 61 years, Ed Krejci; and a daughter, Liz Krejci, of Hopkins, S.C. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Parrish.
