Ruth C. Heiden Wallingford, 94, of Delavan, died March 13, 2015, at Vintage on the Ponds nursing home at Delavan.
She was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Walworth Township in Walworth County, to LaMont and Elma (Ayars) Robbins. She has had several occupations during her life-time including at Borg in Delavan during World War II; with the Walworth County Farm Bureau; as a cook for Glenview Community Church Camp on Lake Geneva; at the deli at Sentry Foods for 20 years; and as the owner and operator of Ceramics by Cedelia.
She is survived by her son, David, and wife, Linda Heiden, of Stone Mountain, Ga; daughters, Margaret, and husband, Raymond Gonion, of Cedar Lake, Ind., and Doris, and husband, Robert Keegan, of Elkhorn; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Heiden, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands James Brooks, Edward Heiden and Lee Wallingford; a brother, Lawrence; sisters, Doris Bloye, Laura Arnston, Mildred Parsons; a son, Edward L. Heiden; and a grandson, Shawn Gonion.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Toynton Funeral Home in Walworth with the Rev. Steve Wessing officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Walworth Cemetery.
