Marlynn Eugene Baker, 74, of Darien, passed away on Feb. 17, 2015, at his home in Darien.
He was born in Holmen on Jan. 22, 1941, to Benhard and Bernice (Lovell) Baker. Marlynn proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was united in marriage to Margie Coleman on Sept. 12, 1964. He was a machinist for several years and was employed at Waukesha Specialties. Marlynn enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Marlynn is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Margie; three children, Troy (Christine) Baker, of Elkhorn, Dawn (Patrick) Murphy, of Elkhorn, and Kelly (Nic) Stead, of Gurnee, Ill.; grandchildren, Jessica (Mike) Cunningham, Jaclyn (Bradley) Seaman, Joshua (Bethany) Constable, Jeffrey Constable, Adam Baker, Tyler Thiele, Jonathon Stead and Ashley Baker; great grandchildren, Abby, Ethan, Conner, Makena, Briella and Bentley; siblings, Wally (Carleen) Baker, Phillip (Eleanor) Baker, Eleanor (Richard) Boll; and several nieces and nephews. Marlynn is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Berdella (Hugh) Standiford, Basil (Irene) Baker, Doris (Burl) Cramer, Bernetta (Lyfie) Gordon, Clayton (Pam) Baker, and Verda (Donald) Schuartzhoff.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society. Monroe Funeral Home is assisting the family.
