Dean F. Pontell, 84, of East Troy died Feb. 13, 2015 at East Troy Manor with his loving wife at his side. He was born on Aug. 25, 1930, to Max and Alice in Elkhorn.
He attended grade school in the Town of Troy and East Troy High School.
He married Audrey May (Recknagel) on Sept 26, 1953, at St Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Troy.
He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
He was a car, motorcycle and scooter fanatic, loving anything and everything about them. He was a licensed private pilot with two planes and earlier in his life he ran a locksmith and radiator shops.
Survivors include his wife; brother, Alan (Helen); nephew, Lee Pontell; sister-in-law, Joan (Ron) Radtke; and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at St Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2665 North St., East Troy. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of services at the church. Private interment will be in Oakridge Cemetery.
