ARTHUR D. PARMAN

Arthur D. Parman, 86, died Feb. 9, 2015. He was born in Mazomanie on June 28, 1928.

He was one of 11 children born to John and Pearle Parman.

He was married to Betty (Billings) for 66 years. During his lifetime he was a business owner, entrepreneur and salesman.

Art and Betty lived in East Troy for all of their married life and owned a variety of businesses in East Troy including the Sinclair Gas Station, the Chrysler and Plymouth automobile dealership, the Trading Post, the Square Side Antique Shop, Main Street Realty and the Colonial QuickWash, in Whitewater.

Art was also an award-winning salesman for General Motors for a number of years while working in Whitewater.

Art was a great “Pop” to his grandchildren, a wonderful father and a devoted husband.

He was active in Kiwanis, the Wobblies Golf League and the United Church of Christ. He enjoyed boating, water skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and most of all golfing. He could repair anything and remembered everything.

Survivors include his wife Betty; son Dan (Beth); son-in-law Lou, younger brother Jim; sisters, Kate, Beverly, Donna and Janice; grandchildren, Emily Stam (Wayne), Ben, Dominick Marino (Hillary); step-grandchild Brian; and his great-grandchildren Mia, Coen and Elijah.

Art will be joining his daughter Nancy and his grandson Joel who went to be with the Lord a number of years ago.

Art will be in state at the First Congregational Church UCC, 2931 Union St., East Troy, from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 14. The funeral will follow at noon.

Burial services will be at 1 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Cemetery on the corner of highways ES and 20, East Troy.

Friends and family are invited to Roma’s Ristorante and Lounge, N8416 Highway ES, East Troy immediately following the burial services.
