Caroline M. Howell, 89, of Whitewater, passed away peacefully on Jan. 7, 2015, at Fairhaven Corp.
Caroline was born in the Township of Palmyra on Sept. 15, 1925, the daughter of the late Emery and Lillian (Dymond) Smale. She was a member of the Little Prairie United Methodist, Palmyra Legion Auxiliary, and The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She delivered the Janesville Gazette newspaper for 20 years and was an avid bowler.
Caroline is survived by her three daughters, Bonita (Vinny DiMurro) Howell, Barbara (Ron) Polzin, and Peggy Howell; two grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Polzin and Jeffrey (Christy Talavera) Polzin; brothers, Gordon (Millie) Smale and Raymond (Barbara) Smale. Caroline was loved and will be remembered by other relatives and friends.
Caroline was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Howell.
Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 12 from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. at Haase Lockwood and Associates Funeral home 320 W. Main St. Palmyra.
