Mary Jo Peters, 85, of Walworth, passed away Dec. 21, 2014, at Golden Years Health Care Center in Walworth.
She was born June 8, 1929, in Elkhorn the daughter of Joseph and Mary Hildegard (Hovey) Robinson. She married Glenn Peters on Sept. 14, 1947, in Fontana. He preceded her in death Feb. 16, 2002.
Mary Jo was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Walworth and loved quilting and gardening.
She is survived by her children Christine Reynolds, of Elkhorn, Richard (Gale) Peters, of Darien, Michele (Kent) Miller, of Walworth, Daniel Peters, of Darien; daughter-in-law Diane Peters Hawker; 10 grandchildren Natasha (Jeff) Konz, Michael (Shelly) Peters, Jennifer Peters, Jessica (Dave) Clark, Nicholas (Amanda) Peters, Jason (Kelly) Peters, Adam (Rebecca) Peters, Matthew (Sheila) Peters, Tierney Dalton and Brandon Peters; 16 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marjorie Plote and Jeanne Andersen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, a son, Gary, and a brother, Kenneth Robinson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Walworth with the Rev. Jeffrey Tomberlin officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the Church.
The family suggests memorials to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.
