Thompson, Edith Mathilda, 95, (Nee Wiederhoeft) died Dec. 9, 2014.
She is prececed in death by her husband Lloyd Thompson. She is survived by five children, Patricia Wiedmer, Glen (Beth) Thompson, Donald (Maxine) Thompson, Bonnie (David) Nommensen and Lori (James) Unke; her 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her three brothers Donald, Waldemar and George, great-grandson Jonah Krauklis and son-in-law Steven Wiedmer. Also loved by other relatives and friends. She was a Librarian at Wisconsin Lutheran High School from 1968 to 1970 and at Northwestern College in Watertown from 1970 to 1985. She and her husband Lloyd retired to live in Elkhorn in 1985, and were faithful members of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Following Lloyd’s death in 1999, Edith moved to Luther Haven in Milwaukee where she lived the final 15 years of her full life.
Visitation at Salem Ev. Lutheran Church 6840 N. 107th St., Milwaukee. Dec. 20, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Funeral Service 1:30 p.m. Burial to follow at 3:30 p.m. at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Spring Prairie. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to the Lloyd and Edith Thompson Scholarship Fund at Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Mich.
