Linda S. Hoekstra, 55, of Delavan, passed away on Dec. 3, 2014, at Mercy Walworth Hospital in the Town of Geneva.
She was born in Elkhorn on Nov. 13, 1959, to Wilbur and Helen (Greenfield) Vegter. She was united in marriage for 35 wonderful years to Michael Hoekstra on Aug. 4, 1979. She worked at Vision Plastics as a human resources coordinator. She was a longtime member at the Delavan Christian Reformed Church. Linda enjoyed sewing, crafting and her porch. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Michael; three children, Amber (Bob) Williams, of Darien, Henry Hoekstra, of Delavan, and Jeremy (Ashley) Hoekstra, of Janesville; four grandchildren, Haley, Laura, Riley and Clay; her parents, Wilbur and Helen; a sister, Jean (Larry) Nieuwenhuis, of Delavan; two brothers, Rick (Elaine) Vegter, of Sharon, and Eugene (Lisa) Vegter, of Sharon; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her faithful dog, Sunny.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Delavan Christian Reformed Church, 850 Oak St., with the Rev. Dan Roeda officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Delavan Christian Reformed Church and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.
